a Student and an Atheist Professor

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty.  He asks one of his new students to stand and..... 

Prof: So you believe in God?

Student: Absolutely, sir.

Prof : Is God good?

Student: Sure.

Prof: Is God all-powerful?

Student : Yes.

Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him.  Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?

(Student is silent.)

Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?

Student: Yes.

Prof: Is Satan good?

Student : No.

Prof: Where does Satan come from?

Student: From...God...

Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student: Yes.

Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?

Student: Yes.

Prof: So who created evil?

(Student does not answer.)

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?

Student: Yes, sir.

Prof: So, who created them?

(Student has no answer.)

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?

Student: No, sir.

Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

Student: No, sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?

Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.

Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student: Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Prof: Yes.

Student: And is there such a thing as cold?

Prof: Yes.

Student: No sir. There isn't. (The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it .
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?

Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light.... But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor.Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?   

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher? (The class is in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain,sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.

Student: That is it sir... The link between man & god is FAITH . That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

  fuhh..fuhh *tiup habuk .   ALHAMDULILLAH . after 27 November 2013 , im not a student anymore ! welcome to 'alumni' life :) *tepuk tangan untuk diri sendiri:P  

  rasa syukur yang amat tak dapat aku nak cakap . lega sangat ! masih gue (aku) ingat ya , 12.12.12 (tahun lepas) , last time aku shopping barang2 sekolah :')   okey2 , harini aku takde mood 'sedeyh pedeyhh' laa untuk stori mori pasal life aku since aku secara rasminya memangku jawatan yang diidam-idamkan oleh setiap yang bergelar student , that is ex-student XD     harini , suddenly abah suruh aku print kan wirid dan doa after solat for my brothers . so , aku sebagai kakak 'mithali' menyahut seruan abah tersebut :P   and aku rasa , wirid dan doa yang aku share untuk post kali ni amat sangat laa berguna untuk diri aku and all the readers . hope kita sama2 dapat manfaat k :)     WIRID SELEPAS SOLAT

Dengan nama Allah yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang. 

Segala puji bagi Allah Tuhan pentadbir seluruh alam. Selawat dan sejahtera semoga dilimpahkan ke atas junjungan besar Nabi Muhammad yang semulia-mulia pesuruh-Nya, serta ke atas keluarga dan sekalian sahabat-sahabatnya. 

Ya Allah, wahai Tuhan kami, hidupkan kami dengan iman, matikan kami dalam iman, serta masukkan kami ke dalam syurga bersama-sama iman. 

Ya Allah, ya Tuhan kami, ampunilah segala dosa kesalahan kami dan dosa-dosa kesalahan kedua ibu bapa kami, serta kesihanilah kedua ibu bapa kami sebagaimana mereka berdua mengasihani kami semasa masih kecil. 

Ya Allah, akhirilah umur kami dengan kesudahan yang baik dan janganlah kiranya Engkau akhirkan umur kami dengan kesudahan yang tidak baik. 

Ya Allah, ya Tuhan kami, janganlah kiranya Engkau pesongkan iman kami sesudah Engkau kurniakan kepada kami petunjuk. Anugerahilah kami rahmat kerana sesungguhnya Engkau Maha Pengurnia. 

Wahai Tuhan kami, kurniakanlah kepada kami kebaikan di dunia ini dan juga di akhirat, dan peliharalah kami daripada azab neraka. 

Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat dan sejahtera ke atas junjungan kami Nabi Muhammad dan ke atas seluruh keluarga dan sahabat-sahabat baginda. Dan segala puji itu tertentu bagi Allah, Tuhan pentadbir seluruh alam.

    eh eh , update entry lagi ?! huhu ^^ act , hari tu dalam kelas , time kitorang duk tengah stadi , tetiba terbukak stori pasal 'body language' . eh , kata stadi , tapi duk borak ni apa hal?? haha , dah nama pun pompuan , lumrah laa tu awak-awak semua kann :P tengah stadi pun , mulut belum tentu boleh tutup , ngee XD   so ,today , aku nak share skett laa , ilmu nak baca body language orang , yang aku google tadi . and please , dont trust this 100% okey :)

• bijik mata rolling ke kanan :: menunjukkan dia tengah duk gebang or duk reka crita kat hangpa! 

• biji mata rolling ke kiri :: dia tengah duk teringat or tengah cuba nak ingat something 

• biji mata keatas :: dia tengah duk berimaginasi 

• gelak terpaksa :: dia tengah duk nervous ataupun dia kesian kat kau sebab takde org lain gelak kat lawak kaw :D 

• tangan bersilang :: dia tengah bersikap defensive ataupun dia tak mau pergi mana-mana yang kaw ajak dia pergi or buat 

• pegang kertas kat dada :: nervous (oh God , sangat menyeramkan that 'nervous' feeling) 

• usap-usap hidung :: dia tengah berangan 

• garu tengkuk :: dia kurang percaya dengan apa yg hangpa buat 

• garu-garu mata :: dia sedih, letih dan penat serta tired 

• mata membesar :: dia berminat dengan apa yang kita nak cakap kat dia

      salam ramadhan dear readers :) wah wah , rasa macam baru semalam aku update entry for ramadhan 2012 . n hari ni aku dahh mengupdate entry for ramadhan 2013 . masa ni mengalir ibarat air sungai kan , cepat sangat berlalu :)
hailaa , semalam penat gila aku and umi shopping raya (even ni baru 3rd ramadhan), tapi just shopping barang-barang aku je laa . shopping barang aku pun ambik seharian , cer kaw bayang kalau kitorang nak shopping sekali gus untuk adik-adik aku yang berderet 6 orang tu ,huh ==' mati koi . hmm , tapi shopping kali ni lain sikit , sebab cousin aku , si debab syahmi tu ikut sekali . dia buat practical kerja kat kuantan ni , so dia duk tumpang rumah kitorang laa . kaw tahu , time aku duk berjalan sakan semalam , tak sedar langsung yang badan ni dah penat tahap petala ke-11 . in fact , keseronokan membatasi segalanya right , huhu :D
pastu , malam tadi baru le terkocoh-kocoh nak siapkan project work add math segala , hailaa budak ni =='' alhamdulillah , dis year umi berusaha dengan sangat gigih untuk tidak menghampakan permintaan dan hajat anak dia yang sorang ni . dan seperti biasa , adik-adik aku yang lain akan pertikaikan , why barang-barang aku lagi banyak dari diorang . hello brothers , akak awak ni gegirl , memang laa banyak skett stuff yang nak dibeli for raya :P hmm , tahun ni abah pesan kat kami , dont membazir ! dan pesanan itu hanya lah dihiraukan 50% oleh kami , ngee :D tapi dalam Islam memang ada cakap , 

jangan membazir kerana itu amalan syaitan

hutang oh hutang !

    yes ainatulmahirah . apa ke jadah nya awak buat kat depan lappy memalam buta ni ?! oh okey , stop merepek k . so today , aku sesaja nak bukak cerita pasal DUIT . yeah , tipu laa kalau awak2 kata duit is not important in our life or i hate money , errr ! sangat-sangat bohong k .    hailaa , aku bukak stori ni bukan nak memalukan sesapa , just nak ingatkan diri aku and awak2 semua , yang if kita nak cepat kaya or banyak duit segala , usahalah . duit tak kan datang bergolek or turun dari langit melainkan awak2 semua tinggal di dunia khayalan , dunia impian , alaa yang cerita indonesia tu . kfine , back to our topic :P i wrote this post berdasarkan pengalaman aku sendiri . eh eh , jangan salah paham , bukan aku taw yang terlibat dengan jalan cerita di bawah . it happened to umi's bestfriend , yang mana anak dia pun bestfriend aku jugak time sekolah rendah dulu .  erk , okey . tak penting pun untuk kaw tahu ;P   huh , uncle L , hubby kawan umi , is the great father and hubby sebab dia sanggup korban macam2 for his family . dan dia ini sangat laa haloba *sorry uncle . dia nak family dia hidup senang macam dalam drama2 melayu sekarang . rumah besar2 , kereta besar2 segala . dan dia sangat laa kurang pandai *sorry again uncle , sebab pilih jalan salah yang  kekononnya jalan singkat untuk jadi kaya . he laburkan too much money on skim cepat kaya or lebih tepat lagi 'skim cepat kojol' , sampaikan duit isteri dia pun dia sapu . huh , so typical *gahh , in fact aku tak tahu pun maksud typical tu apa :P     dan uncle L tak pernah insaf dan ambik iktibar from his dump and idiot before *sorry again and again :'( . dia pinjam duit from many people termasuklah abah . dia jugak dah dipergunakan oleh makhluk Tuhan yang tak ingat syurga neraka , untuk tipu duit orang lain . yes , memang dia tak niat nak tipu duit orang sebab dia pun dah tertipu . hailaa , dungu tak dungu uncle L ni .and now , polis tengah buru dia atas tuduhan menipu duit orang . dan wadafish 'pihak terbabit' ambik rasuah segala .   huh , aunty A desak umi nak borrow or lebih tepat kasi terus duit tu tanpa bayar sebanyak 5k . kenapa aku cakap lebih tepat kasi terus tanpa bayar ? sebab dia memang tak de duit pun nak bayar . word borrow tu nak kasi sedap dengar je =='' oh why with 5k ? ofkos laa nak merasuah 'pihak terbabit' untuk lengahkan penangkapan uncle L . and kaw nampak tak sekarang aunty A nak libatkan umi with rasuah ?! oh hello , pliss laa , if kaw nak buat dosa , buat le sesorang . dont ever bother my family with those kotor thing !     ahh , dahh kenapa aku ni emo memalam buta yang tak berapa nak hening ni =='' dan aku just nak simple kan story aku with a conclusion yang family dia sangat haru biru , kuning , hijau segala sekarang ni . aunty A semakin kurus k , mata merah2 , ahh , uncle L so cruel ! aku terfikir nasib bestfriend aku yang nak SPM jugak tahun ni :'( i'll always pray for you from here friend . seriously , this is my first experience tengok family orang yang tengah huru-hara and tak aman cenggitu .    and thats experience make me more bersyukur dilahirkan dalam family yang aman and bahagia . bersyukur sangat2 ! aku jugak bersyukur dapat abah yang cerdik pandai dan mampu berfikir dengan waras *uncle L , plis terasa ! , even kami tak kaya , tapi kami bebas dari buruan polis or masalah duit . alhamdulillah ! pliss belajar untuk bersyukur k :')   so , apa kejadah aku menaip panjang-panjang hari ni ? awak2 semua , pliss bersihkan diri uolls dari bahana hutang k . kalau lah aku boleh cerita how menderita kisah family aunty A , dari a to z , komfem awak2 semua bertaubat tak nak hutang2 segala . pliss laa , nak senang memang susah , tapi nak susah sangat senang . heyy , tak de lah dalam dunia ni orang senang2 nak bagi hangpa duit beratus-ratus ribu . even Bill Gates pun kaya atas usaha dia sendiri . huh =='' sekali lagi aku nak pesan , never trust others word yang kekonon nak bagi kaw duit beribu-ribu dengan jalan singkat . and pliss , belajar dari kesilapan !   ohh , aku sangat mengharapkan anda2 semua paham apa yang aku nak sampaikan and ambik iktibar from story di atas :)

    eh eh .  sorry sangat2 for those yang tak dapat view gambar-gambar izzue-awin yang aku post kemarin :')   sorry sangat2 k . erm , tapi when aku bukak blog ni kat desktop sekolah umi , boleh pulak nak view gambar segala . so , aku buat conclusion kat sini yang if nak view gambar2 tu segala , mestilah mengikut tahap kecepatan internet kita :) and ofkos lah internet kat rumah aku tu tak lah secepat , setangkas and secekap internet kat sekolah umi ni , sebab tu lappy aku pun vengong tak boleh nak view those gambar :) so , if uolls tak boleh nak view gambar2 tu segala , just think about it by yourself , and aku nak say sorry sangat2 kepada awak2 yang tak dapat view gambar2 tu segala . kalau hangpa nak tengok gambar2 tu semua , boleh le datang ke website ni , sebab aku pun 'pinjam' those gambar dari website ni ;P   oh okey ainatulmahirah . esok awak nak mulakan balik life awak sebagai student kat intek . good luck to myself . erk , SPM pun just around the corner dan aku masih lagi tak sedar diri , duk berfoya-foya with adik2 dengan internet segala . oh so nice holiday kann ==' hang tunggu laa time nak exam nanti ainatulmahirah , baru hang taw langit tinggi ke rendah , huh =='   oh oh , and one more think , ayu raudhah sangat cantik dan georgeous bertudung .  zaquan adha is soo bertuah for dapat ayu raudhah as his superlady and superwifey ever :)     so , maybe this will be my last post for holiday kali ni :) err , for those yang nak muntah tengok aku speaking segala , silakan , tapi aku tak de bajet nak sponsor baldi for uolls , sorry :)    :: massalamah . assalam ::

    XOXO ^^ kemarin aku dah post lovestory izzue-awin . hailaa , tapi bila aku view balik blog aku , banyak gambar yang aku *pinjam :P dari Rotikaya.com , hang ! sengal gila aku rase =='' i hope , dear readers punya lappy tak meng'hang' kan gambar-gambar mereka yang aku dah post kemarin :)  so today , aku nak share with uolls gambar-gambar mereka di hari resepsi kat hotel nun ^^ oh , mereka ini comel sebenarnya .

Izzue Islam Tidak Sabar Untuk Bergelar Bapa

Perkahwinan Izzue Islam hujung minggu lalu memang mendapat perhatian meluas peminat dunia hiburan. Dari pengumuman yang tidak di’sangka sehingga kisah cinta lima tahun yang di’sorok cemerlang.

Izzue Islam selamat bergelar suami kepada pengurusnya sendiri iaitu Awin Nurin apabila kedua-dua mereka diijabkabulkan dengan sekali lafaz sekitar 9.45 pagi pada Ahad lalu di Dewan Shah Alam.
Bercakap kepada mStar Online, anggota kumpulan Forteen ini mahu segera menimang cahayamata sebagai penyeri rumahtangga dan sudah bersedia untuk bergelar bapa pada usia 23 tahun.
“Jika rezeki diberi awal memang saya mahu segera mempunyai anak dan sudah bersedia untuk bergelar seorang bapa tambahan pula anak itu nanti akan memberi berkat dan menyerikan rumah tangga kami”

Izzue Islam menambah walaupun usianya masih muda, beliau yakin akan mampu menjadi bapa yang baik & kehadiran anak dalam hubungan yang dibina mampu mematangkan beliau sebagai seorang lelaki.
